About Me
"My quest to help people improve their health and fitness started with myself."
-Sean O'hagan

My fitness journey was a very bumpy one. I was the person in the gym who felt intimidated and was afraid to ask for help. I would show up to work-out with no plan and watch people who seemed like they knew what they were doing from a distance and just copy them. After years of joining and quitting gyms with no noticeable gains, I threw in the towel and decided that I would run instead of working out in the gym.

For 15 years I ran, competed in races including marathons,  1/2 marathons, 10Ks, 5Ks any race I could sign up for, all while working in the luxury hotel industry.  But it wasn't enough I wanted to understand more about health and fitness training.  I was often  approached by co-workers who saw the results I had from running, not only in physical changes but in my positive mental attitude as well, and was often asked what they could do to better themselves.  They knew I competed in races on weekends and wanted to know what work outs I did and if I could help them achieve similar health goals. I wanted to help them but running is not for everybody.

So in order to educate myself further, I took a foundations program at The Focus Personal Training Institute in New York City where I learned the proper techniques for resistance training and working out. I began to show my co-workers proper technique for workouts that I learned and I was constantly sought out for workout programs and routines.  Feeling the positive impact that I was making in others lives thru fitness and that sense of support and connection of helping others, I was inspired to take my education even further.  I decided to attend the National Academy of Sports Medicine to be certified as a personal trainer.  Armed with the wealth of training knowledge that I acquired thru my NASM certification, I've been able to realize my passion and commitment to transforming peoples lives thru their own fitness journey.

I know what it's like to feel lost in the gym. I want to help people who felt how I felt,  intimidated to ask for help or embarrassed by their lack of knowledge or fear of not knowing what they are doing or if they are doing it properly.  For beginners I motivate my clients  with a no nonsense positive approach to fitness.  I like to keep it simple and my clients rely on on me to encourage them, work with them and inspire them. More experienced clients can benefit from my ability to take their training to the next level.  My fitness journey is still evolving, and so will yours no matter what your goals may be.

Please email me and let’s start your fitness journey together, for better health and a longer stronger quality of life.
